Berghs teaching philosophy
Our students take that philosophy to global competitions like Young Ones - the student section of a globally acclaimed award ceremony, D&AD New Blood, Young Glory, Future Lions – and many others. Scroll down to take a look at some award-winning student work from our students over the last 10 years.

D&AD New Blood
Two student teams from Berghs won pencils at the D&AD New Blood Awards. One team was awarded a Graphite Pencil and the other team received a Wood Pencil. Take a look at the winning entries from our students
Here are the winning entries from our students: IMAX Extraordinary Feelings - IMAX and Hands of Change - Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- This year, Berghs' students secured 35 awards: 13 pencils, 3 cubes, 3 portfolios and 16 merits, showcasing world-class creativity and innovation. The overall ranking in this year's global competition gives Berghs 4th place in the world among 140 schools. Read more about the competition and Bergh's finalists here.
PRINT POWER AWARDS
- Two out of ten finalists at the poster competition for Sweden's leading art and design schools were Bergh's students, one of whom was named winner of the competition. Read more about Print Power Awards
D&AD
- An impressive three student teams took home pencils at the 2023 D&AD New Blood Awards. Moreover, 6 Berghs student portfolios were chosen to be showcased, out of a whopping 900 entries. Read more about Berghs at D&AD New Blood here.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- With 15 students travelling to New York to attend the One Show | Young Ones awards ceremony, Berghs is taking home an incredible 5 awards across categories. Check out all of Berghs' 2023 entries in the competition here.
CANNES LIONS - INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF CREATIVITY
- Out of seven deserving award nominations, one of Berghs' entries was awarded the Grand Prix in Cannes Lions Future Lions awards! Berghs shares the Grand Prix award with the entries from students at Miami Ad School and Brother. See Berghs' Grand Prix-winning award here.
- We are proud to hear that one of our students, William Andersson, received the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy scholarship as part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
YOUNG GLORY 2021/2022
- The Berghs student team of Max Anderholm and Nicolas Lindberg are the overall student champions for Young Glory 2021/2022 - winning the entire student side of the competition. Two more teams from Berghs placed fourth and sixth respectively out of many more entries!
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- All 17 entries from Berghs received awards at the 2022 Young Ones! The awards included two golds, four silvers, two bronzes, two portfolio awards and seven merits.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- A newly graduated creative team from Berghs was awarded the prestigious Grand Prix prize at this year's Future Lions awards.
D&AD
- An impressive six creative teams from Berghs were awarded pencils at this year's D&AD New Blood Awards. Moreover, six recent Berghs graduates received awards in the New Blood Portfolio category.
CANNES LIONS - INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL OF CREATIVITY
- We are proud to hear that one of our students received the Roger Hatchuel Student Academy scholarship as part of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
PRINT POWER AWARDS

ALLER MEDIA SCHOLARSHIP
- A Berghs student was awarded the Aller Media typography scholarship at SVA NYC.
YOUNG GLORY
- The results after all 8 rounds in the Young Glory competition summed up to a Berghs team winning the student competition! Five more student teams from our school were awarded in one or several rounds during the 8 month competition. Hear from some winning students and read about their journeys.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- 38 students from Berghs won three gold, five silver, eight bronze and six merits in The One Show’s competition The Young Ones. Berghs was also ranked as the best school in the world in the category Young Ones brief.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- A student team from Berghs was one of the winners in the prestigious communication and innovation competition Future Lions.
D&AD
- Three student teams won D&AD New Blood Pencils in this year's D&AD.
GULLKALVEN AND GULLBLYANTEN
- One student team from Berghs won Årets Gullkalv 2021 together with five gold and two silver awards at Gullkalven. The same student went on to win Student of the Year at Gullblyanten.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
2020 was a record year for Bergh’s School of Communication.
- Berghs students took home a total of 20 awards, including 8 pens and 5 cubes.
- This ranks us as the 3rd best school in the world, and No. 1 in Europe!
- We’re proud to be home to the 2020 No. 1 ranked student in the world according to Young Ones.
GULLKALVEN
- A team of Berghs students won this year’s Gullkalven, Norway’s largest student competition in communication. Their campaign was also awarded gold in the categories campaign, SoMe and commerce as well as bronze in the outdoor category. In addition, one of the students was awarded “Student of the Year”.
SUMMIT AWARDS
- In this year's Summit Awards our students scored bronze, as well as silver and gold.
CLIO AWARDS
- A student team from Berghs won bronze in this year's Clio Awards.
YOUNG GLORY
- A Berghs’ team won the January competition at the Young Glory competition. In addition, three Berghs students won Young Glory and got to pitch their idea at C2 in Montréal.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- Students took home 17 awards, including 11 pencils. This made Berghs the most awarded school in 2019 in the Young Ones Brief competition.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- Berghs’ students had 5 cases represented in the top 50 of Future Lions.
GULLTAGGEN
- Berghs’ students accounted for no less than three of a total of six nominated prizes in the student category at the Nordic Gulltaggen competition. Four Berghs students were awarded gold and silver.
YOUNG GLORY
- One student team won two gold at the September competition, two gold and one silver at the October competition, one silver and one bronze at the November competition, and one gold and one silver at the December competition.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- 38 students from Berghs won three gold, five silver, eight bronze and six merits in The One Show’s competition The Young Ones.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- Five student teams were shortlisted and contributed to Berghs landing the prestigious School of the Year award for the fifth consecutive year at AKQA Future Lions in Cannes.
D&AD
- A student team from Berghs was awarded gold at the D&AD New Blood awards.
GULLKALVEN
INDIGO DESIGN AWARDS
- A student team from Berghs was awarded gold at the Indigo Design Awards.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- At One Show’s Young Ones, six out of 35 finalists were from Berghs. In addition, two entries qualified for the Client Pitch. In total, the Young Ones competition led to one Gold Pencil and three Silver Pencils. Watch a gold-winning case here.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- Berghs won the category School of the Year for the fourth year running at AKQA Future Lions in Cannes.
D&AD
- Two of our student teams were nominated at D&AD in London.
GULLTAGEN
- Berghs students accounted for three of a total of seven nominated entries and won gold with one of the entries.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- Students won a Silver Pencil, a Merit Award, and were nominated to Client Pitch at the One Show.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- Our students took home two of the five awards in the student competition AKQA Future Lions, and secured the desirable title School of the Year for the third consecutive year. This was a record! Watch the cases here.

ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- Four teams were awarded two Gold Pencils, two Bronze Pencils, and the Client Pitch at the One Show | Young Ones competition.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- 10 student teams were named in the top 100 at AKQA Future Lions, and Berghs was awarded School of the Year for the second consecutive year this year.
D&AD
- Students won two Gold Pencils and two Wood Pencils at D&AD.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- One Berghs team won a Gold Pencil, while two teams won Silver Pencils and took home the gold in Client Pitch at the One Show.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- At the AKQA Future Lions competition in Cannes, a large number of student teams were named in the top 100, with two teams placing in the top five. Berghs won School of the Year, competing against 60 schools from 40 countries at the AKQA Future Lions competition in Cannes.
D&AD
- At D&AD, two student teams won awards.
GULLTAGEN
- Another Gold Award came from Gulltaggen.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- Students were awarded two Bronze Pencils and one Silver Pencil, as well as several merits at the One Show
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- Four student teams were shortlisted at AKQA Future Lions in Cannes.
ONE SHOW | YOUNG ONES
- The One Show resulted in one Gold Pencil, one Silver Pencil, one Bronze Pencil, four merit awards, and one honourable mention.
AKQA FUTURE LIONS
- Students won two top placements and a number were shortlisted at AKQA Future Lions in Cannes.
D&AD
- Student teams won two awards in Best of the Year at D&AD.
OTHER AWARDS
Students were also awarded at the Clio Awards, Creativity Awards, New York Festivals, Bees Awards, New Creatives, and Gulltaggen.
