Understatement
“The Micro Symbol of Act” is the first washing label made not only for the garment, but for the planet. The symbol tells consumers to use a micro filter bag when washing clothes made of synthetic materials. The goal with the “Micro Symbol of Act” is to fight the spread of microplastics in our oceans, food and bodies.

Microplastics are released when washing garments made of synthetic materials. However, consumers are never instructed about how to avoid spreading microplastics when washing clothes. Because the thing is, washing instructions only apply to the durability of the garment, and not to the durability of the environment.
Therefore, we're launching a new symbol that we encourage clothing brands to print on their washing labels. It's the first washing symbol made not only for the garment, but for the planet. The symbol means that you should wash clothes made of synthetic materials in a micro filter bag. In that way we minimize the spread of microplastics in anticipation for the textile industry to shift to sustainable fabrics.
We believe it's the smallest of acts that has the greatest value. We call it a micro symbol of act.
